OKX review

Our verdict
The best pick if you move between centralised trading and on-chain activity, because the wallet and the exchange are the same account. Strong proof-of-reserves record.

The full review
OKX sits in the same tier as Binance and Bybit on liquidity but differentiates on the wallet. The self-custody wallet, DEX aggregator and the exchange live behind one login, so moving from a perp position to an on-chain swap does not mean exporting a seed phrase into a third-party app.
Fee-wise it is quietly one of the cheapest large venues for makers: 0.08% spot maker at Lv1 undercuts the 0.10% that Binance and Bybit charge. Takers pay the usual 0.10%. Perps are 0.02%/0.05%, matching Binance.
OKX has the cleanest incident history of the three big offshore exchanges — no major custody breach — and the most consistent proof-of-reserves publication schedule. That combination is why its security sub-score edges above Binance and Bybit despite a similar regulatory profile.
The trade-off is support. Ticket response is slower than the fiat-first exchanges, and the documentation assumes you already know what a funding rate is.
How we reviewed OKX
We scored OKX against the same nine criteria we apply to every exchange: fees, security, liquidity, features, ease of use, support, country availability, deposit options and long-term track record. Fee figures come from the exchange’s own published schedule (verified 2026-09-04), availability from its terms and support documentation, and the incident history from primary reporting and the exchange’s own disclosures.
This review was written by Vetted Exchanges Editorial Team and fact-checked by Vetted Exchanges Review Board. It is scheduled for re-verification by 2026-12-04, and sooner if OKX changes its pricing, its country availability, or its security posture. Vetted Exchanges Editorial Team holds no position in OKX or its token, and the affiliate relationship disclosed above played no part in the score.
